Next up we were back at Wimborne Minster Folk Festival in June, with a great workshop in the morning and a superb performance with laughter and quaffing a plenty till the late hours. Next year will see us returning again with workshops throughout the day and a performance on the Sunday.
July 2016 will be something that will go down in legend. Songs will be sung about the time The Folk Orc Regular Sessions Band went to the Swanage Pirate Festival and acheived a level of skullduggery the likes of which have not been seen since.
September saw us invade The White Horse Inn at the Swanage Folk Festival for another Great Open Session that is largely becoming a tradition now. Many great songs played, new and old.
Then October comes and we had Folk Day no.7 at Coda Music Centre with the wonderful Andy Stone and Charlotte Gallagher joining us as guest tutors. Always a pleasure to have such delightful and knowledgable people with us at these events and you can be sure i'll be bending both their arms to return at somepoint in the future.
So here we find ourselves looking to the future and what 2017 will bring, not wanting to give things away too early but it looks to be even better.
So that just leaves me to say thankyou to all of you who have been in some way a part of the Folk Orc 2016 Year of the Tankard.
