Now, surprisingly, this song is NOT about the zombie apocalypse! Dissapointing I know, but the roots of this song actually come from a chapter of the Christian Bible. Ezekial was sent to a valley which happened to be full of dry bones. Whilst in this valley he was told by his god to prophesy about the bones coming together and living, having heard the word of their god this is exactly what the bones did. The story became a type of song known as a 'spiritual', sung in the slave comunties of America. At somepoint after that it either evolved or at very least influenced the more popular song called 'Dem Bones', a song that is taught to children to explain how the human skeleton fits together as I remember it, not as would be more accurate, a DIY bring the dead back to life instruction booklet.
